Types of client:
I have been in full-time practice as analytical hypnotherapist since 1986 and hold a degree in psychology (OU), Thought Field Therapy (TFT) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I have also integrated my knowledge of Gestalt therapy and Family Constellation into my work with hypnotherapy.
My job is to help you look at what went wrong in the past and, in the same session, help you work through the issue so that you are able to change your perception of that past event and get your power back. It's like cutting an emotional 'umbilical cord' which has tied you to the past. Once that umbilical cord has been cut, you are able to move forward again with your life. (And don't worry, this positive effect has nothing to do with forgiveness!) The only thing I need you to bring with you to a session is the willingness to talk about past events that are still on your mind.
I usually allocate 3 to 6 sessions of hypnotherapy to work through past key events in order to achieve improvements, but in some more complex cases, it may take longer.

Additional Information
You may also want to consider learning about some self-help methods which are derived from hypnotherapy techniques just without the hypnosis. This 10-part course Positive Thinking course explains techniques and methods in each unit and then asks you to try these out on yourself. You then send in your answers to the tasks to me here at the Peiffer Foundation where I can see how you have been doing and support you in case you had problems with any of the tasks. This self-development course is conducted via email. Have a look at my website https://www.vera-peiffer.com to learn more.
