I know that gap first-hand. I spent 24 years in the corporate world, much of it in the high-pressure environment of investment banking, and I thrived in that fast-paced world. But underneath it, I was carrying my own story: a domestic violence survivor, a divorced single mum, someone who'd learned to perform success on the outside while quietly rebuilding on the inside. I did the work. I trained. I believed something different was possible for me, and I made the change: from corporate, to therapist, to Head Trainer of the RTT school. A lot of people thought I was crazy to walk away from what I'd built. I wasn't crazy, I just changed my story.
I also know what it's like to carry weight, not just physically, but emotionally. I released three stone using RTT, once I understood that the weight I was carrying wasn't really about food, it was about everything I hadn't yet dealt with. That's why I work with a lot of women who struggle with self-image and their relationship with weight. It's rarely just about the number on the scale, it's about how they see themselves underneath it.
Over years of doing this work, I've noticed the same pattern again and again: no achievement, no title, no outward sign of success ever quite lands the way we hope it will if the voice inside is still telling us we're not enough. You can tick every box and still feel like you're bracing for someone to notice you don't belong. That gap is where I do most of my work.
I'm trained in RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy), which works with the subconscious mind to help people break free from old patterns shaped by past experiences, negativity, and trauma. The mind responds to everything you tell it, so much of my work is simply helping someone create a story that's more aligned with what they actually want. Every client has a story. My job is to help them see themselves through loving eyes, rather than the critical ones they've grown used to.
For eight years, I was Head Trainer at the RTT school, training over 16,000 therapists globally in this method. That experience gave me a depth of understanding that now shapes how I work with every client, one to one.
I'm proof that you can change your life. Not by adding more achievement, but by changing the story you've been telling yourself. The people I work with often arrive feeling disconnected from their own success, caught in cycles of overworking or self-criticism, or just tired of holding it all together. What changes isn't what they've achieved, it's their relationship with themselves. They leave steadier, kinder to themselves, and finally able to trust their own judgement.
