Anxiety, overthinking, burnout, stress, fears, low confidence or poor sleep can feel exhausting. I use Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, neuroscience and tailored therapeutic approaches to help adults and young people understand what's happening, regain control and move forward positively.

I work from a dedicated, professional therapy room in Huddersfield, welcoming clients from across West and South Yorkshire, as well as online across the UK.

Sessions take place within my home. The space is quiet, comfortable and professional, with free parking and very few comings and goings — something many anxious clients find reassuring.

I work with adults, teenagers and young people aged 11+ and offer support for a wide range of anxiety-related issues including stress, overthinking, fears, phobias, low confidence, poor sleep and emotional overwhelm.

The most appropriate therapeutic pathway is discussed and determined during the initial consultation. Sessions are structured enough for clients to feel safe and understand the process, while remaining flexible enough to adapt to individual needs and progress. Alongside Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, I may also integrate neuroscience-based psychoeducation, Rewind Therapy techniques, elements of Parts Therapy, Positive Regression and coaching approaches where appropriate.

Additional Information

Many of my clients describe themselves as people who are constantly thinking, analysing, worrying or trying to hold everything together for everyone else. Often, they are managing well on the outside whilst privately feeling emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed or disconnected from who they used to be.

Clients frequently tell me that one of the most helpful parts of therapy is finally understanding why their brain and body respond the way they do. I explain neuroscience and brain processes in a straightforward, relatable way, helping clients make sense of anxiety, stress responses, overthinking, poor sleep and emotional overwhelm without judgement or jargon.

My approach is warm, supportive and practical. I aim to create a calm, safe environment where clients feel listened to, understood and comfortable enough to move forward at a pace that feels manageable for them.

I work particularly well with:

  • women experiencing stress, overwhelm, confidence changes or menopause-related anxiety
  • clients who have spent years putting pressure on themselves to “keep going”
  • teenagers and young adults struggling with anxiety, low confidence, friendships, exams or social pressures
  • clients who want therapy that feels grounded, structured and realistic rather than overly clinical or intimidating

Sessions are collaborative and tailored to the individual. Some clients benefit from short-term focused work, whilst others prefer a longer-term supportive approach depending on their goals and circumstances.

Alongside face-to-face appointments, online hypnotherapy sessions are also available for clients who may feel more comfortable working from home or who are based elsewhere in the UK.

Training, Qualifications and Experience

I trained face-to-face with The Clifton Practice and qualified as a Clinical Solution Focused Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist.

My qualifications include:

  • Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH)
  • Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD – NCFE & NCH accredited)
  • Rewind Trauma Therapy

I am a registered member of:

  • Association for Professional Hypnosis & Psychotherapy (APHP)
  • National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH)
  • Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH)
  • Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)
  • National Board for Modern Psychotherapy (NBMP)
  • National Hypnotherapy Society (HS)

Alongside Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, my ongoing professional development includes areas such as neuroscience, anxiety disorders, phobias, Rewind Therapy techniques, Parts Therapy approaches, Positive Regression, NLP-informed approaches, sports performance, working with children and teenagers, OCD and stress-related conditions.

Before retraining as a therapist, I spent over 35 years working across manufacturing, wholesale and retail industries, including management roles. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the pressures many people face around work, stress, confidence, relationships and balancing responsibilities.

I work particularly well with people who appear to be “coping” on the outside whilst internally feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, anxious or stuck in patterns of overthinking and self-doubt. Many of my clients are women juggling responsibilities, pressures and expectations whilst quietly struggling with stress, confidence, sleep difficulties, menopause-related anxiety or emotional overwhelm behind the scenes.

I also understand, both professionally and personally, how deeply issues such as post-natal depression, anxiety, loss of confidence and emotional exhaustion can affect everyday life, relationships and sense of self.

Alongside this, I support teenagers and young adults experiencing exam pressure, friendship difficulties, anxiety, low self-esteem and the growing pressures that can come with school, college, university and social media.

I undertake regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to ensure my knowledge and skills remain informed by current research and best practice.
