On completion of my Doctorate in Education/{Psychology, I trained to become a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist at the Essex Institute of Clinical Hypnosis and Psychotherapy under the excellent tuition of Terence Watts (DHP, FNCH, FRSH, MNCP, MISMA). Unlike many hypnotherapy courses, the Essex Institute diploma course involves 450 hours of work (150 of these are classroom based) and trains the therapist in both hypnosis and hypnoanalysis. I have also successfully completed a number of other courses including a Psychosexual Dysfunction Diploma at the Essex Institute, and BWRT Levels 1 and 2 at the Institute of BrainWorking Recursive Therapy. Further training has included WSN Counselling, a form of counselling which focuses on the individual’s own personality type and is fascinating as it allows you to really get to know yourself.
