Types of client:
Ollie is the founder of Brain Ecology, an integrative psychotherapy and wellbeing practice based on the understanding that our thoughts, emotions, bodies, experiences and environments are interconnected.
With a background in Psychology and professional training in psychotherapy, counselling, hypnotherapy, mindfulness and EMDR, Ollie brings together a range of therapeutic approaches to support each person as an individual. Her work is informed by psychological theory, neuroscience and evidence-based practice, while recognising that no single approach is right for everyone.
Ollie supports adults experiencing a range of challenges, including anxiety, stress, trauma, emotional overwhelm, low confidence and periods of significant change. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, she helps clients develop a greater understanding of what may be happening beneath the surface—including learned patterns, past experiences, emotional responses and the ways in which the brain and body respond to stress and perceived threat.
Her professional experience extends beyond the therapy room. Before establishing her therapeutic practice, Ollie spent more than 20 years working internationally within the energy industry, including demanding, high-pressure and traditionally male-dominated environments. This experience has contributed to a particular interest in workplace wellbeing and men's mental health, as well as an understanding that therapy needs to feel relevant and accessible to the person seeking support.
Ollie's professional knowledge is also informed by lived experience of trauma, contributing to a compassionate and genuinely non-judgemental approach. She believes therapy should be collaborative rather than something that is simply "done" to a person, helping clients understand themselves, recognise patterns and develop practical ways of responding differently.
Through psychotherapy, counselling, hypnotherapy, EMDR, mindfulness and psychoeducation, Brain Ecology provides a supportive space in which clients can explore what is happening for them, develop greater self-awareness and work towards meaningful and sustainable change.
Because everything is connected.
