Hi. My name is Kathy Paulsen-Russell. I'm a qualified counsellor and Hypnotherapist Im originally from Danmark and I'm trilingual. I specialise in pet bereavement therapy suporting people's emotional wellbeing. I work from home, on line and do home visits. I focus on grief trauma and neurodiversity.

I come from a long line of customer services where people skills are key and were the ability to relate to others are high on the list. This type of work became very un-forfilling and after 24 years in the flying industry I took voluntary redundancy.

My passion has always been helping people on a personal or emotional level. After leaving I decided I wanted to work with vulnerable children who were on the spectrum and found accessing learning difficult,  I'm neurodiverse myself and have over 19 years experience with children and YP on the spectrum. I became an ELSA ( Emotional Learning Support Assistant) and this type of work opened my door into Counselling and Hypnotherapy. This then led me into Pet Bereavement work.

I qualified as a Pet Bereavement Therapist 2022 with one of the leading trainers in the UK. My line of work is predominantly around the loss of a beloved pet and I use a range of modalities. As with any bereavement the death of a loved pet can have a devastating and can have a departmental affect on a person or family. It can sometimes be hard for others to recognise the extent to which the loss of your beloved pet may be affecting you and your family. However, As with any death just as when we lose a person we love they would ultimately want us to move on with our lives and be as happy as we can be, and I think it would be the same for our pet that we have lost, they too would want us to move on, be happy, remember the good times with them.

I can help with:

Trauma
Stress
Procrastination
Low self confidence
Grief
Fears
Exam stress
Eating problems
Depression
Body Dysmorphia
Anxiety
Anger
