I’m Jo, a qualified hypnotherapist with a Level 5 CBT qualification and 14 years’ experience working in SEND. I offer a warm, holistic and individual approach, helping clients feel calmer, more confident and supported to create positive change.

I offer a warm, supportive and individual approach to hypnotherapy, with sessions tailored to each client and the changes they would like to make.

I have always been fascinated by the mind and by understanding why we think, feel and behave in the ways we do. I believe that, for some people, gently exploring past experiences and beliefs can help them understand patterns that may still be influencing how they feel or respond today.

My approach combines analytical hypnotherapy with holistic techniques and my Level 5 training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I aim to work gently and calmly, helping clients better understand themselves while developing confidence, resilience and positive ways forward.

For the past 14 years, I have worked within the SEND department of a high school. This experience has given me a particular interest in supporting children and young people aged 10+, and has taught me the importance of trust, patience and adapting my approach to the individual.

I also have a special interest in supporting women through their fertility and birthing journey, from fertility treatment and IVF through pregnancy, hypnobirthing and preparation for birth.

I work face-to-face from therapy rooms in Leigh and Horwich and also offer online sessions. Evening and weekend appointments are available, offering greater flexibility around work, family and other commitments.

Above all, I want every client to feel comfortable, listened to and supported in a calm and non-judgemental space.

I welcome an initial conversation to discuss what you would like support with and whether hypnotherapy feels right for you.

Additional Information

I welcome enquiries from anyone who would like to have an initial conversation about how hypnotherapy may be able to support them and whether my approach feels right for them.

Every session is tailored to the individual, and I aim to provide a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where clients feel comfortable and supported.

When working with children and young people aged 10+, appropriate parental or guardian involvement and consent will be discussed before therapy begins.

Where appropriate, I may also provide simple relaxation techniques or supportive exercises that clients can use between sessions to continue building on the work we do together.
