Types of client:
I began my private hypnotherapy sessions in 2019, and since 2020, I have also worked in the Mental Health Charity sector. Before that, I gained valuable experience as a listening volunteer with the Samaritans, offering support to those in need.
My educational journey within the field of Mental Health started with a Master’s degree (MSc) in Counselling and Therapeutic Communication from the University of Ulster, which I completed in 2017. Eager to expand my skills, I pursued a Diploma in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (AfSFH registered) at the Clifton Practice Belfast, renowned for its Gold Standard in Hypnotherapy Training.
In addition to my hypnotherapy qualifications, I am a trained Mindfulness Practitioner for children with MiSP and a safeTALK facilitator with Livingworks.
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a powerful approach that combines elements of Psychotherapy, Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). While it is relatively new to Northern Ireland, this approach deeply resonated with me for its ability to help individuals address challenges and achieve positive change.
As a therapist, I try to provide a safe, encouraging and relaxed environment, walking alongside my clients as they explore their goals and work towards meaningful progress. The success of this type of therapy, however, is a collaborative effort, relying on the client’s commitment and active participation.
The most rewarding part of my work is journeying with my clients’ transformation—seeing them step into their true selves, free from the issues that once held them back. If you would like to learn more about how I can support you, please get in touch.
