At the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy we have had a lot of changes going on.
It has been 2 years now since Georgina Mckinnon and I took over from Terence Watts who had run the APHP since 1999.
The Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (APHP) was set up by Terence as a professional organisation that has always promoted the highest standards of practice in hypnosis and psychotherapy. The APHP has a large membership of qualified hypnotherapists and psychotherapists. All therapists who are listed have been trained to a high standard that follow the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Hypnotherapy.
The APHP’s mission is to promote the use of hypnosis and psychotherapy as effective and ethical forms of therapy, to provide education and training to hypnotherapists and psychotherapists. We set and maintain high standards of practice and protect the interests of the public by ensuring that hypnotherapists and psychotherapists are regularly trained, insured, supervised and competent to practice.
We have proudly continued with promoting members and offering free continued professional development (CPD) and offer support and advice to therapists as and when needed.
As well as growing the membership numbers since taking over, we have also created a brand new website with a comprehensive directory function so that potential therapy clients can find the ideal therapist for them.
We are looking forward to the next 2 years and beyond, as we grow our Association on.
