There are many child mental health charities in the UK that provide support to children, young people, and their families. Here are a few of the most well-known:

  • YoungMinds: YoungMinds is a leading charity that provides information, support, and advocacy for children and young people with mental health problems.

  • Place2Be: Place2Be is a charity that provides mental health support in schools. They work with children, young people, and their families to help them develop the skills they need to cope with life’s challenges.

  • Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families: The Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families is a charity that provides specialist mental health services for children and young people. They work with children who have a range of mental health problems, including anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.

  • The Mix: The Mix is a youth charity that provides online and telephone support to young people aged 13-25. They offer a range of services, including advice, counselling, and support groups.
  • Childline: Childline is a free, confidential helpline for children and young people. They offer a listening ear to anyone who is feeling worried, upset, or alone.

These are just a few of the many child mental health charities in the UK.

If you are concerned about a child’s mental health, you can find more information and support on their websites or by calling their helplines. If you have reason to believe that a child is in imminent or ongoing danger, then please report this to your local social services or police force.

I hope this guide has been useful to you.
