All courses shown on this page have been checked and approved by APHP as being of high professional quality. Those with a star * indicated on them have agreed with APHP to give some kind of discount for APHP members. Yorkshire Hypnotherapy Training – Meditation Class Teacher Training

Designed for those already familiar with meditation and similar techniques, this Meditation Class Teacher Certification is for people who would like to run meditation classes.
This course concentrates on the practicalities and logistics of running meditation classes. We cover presentation skills, dealing with challenging class members, suitable class themes, planning classes and courses, advertising and so on. This means it is useful to you whether your approach to mediation is secular, spiritual or mindfulness-based. Your new skills will also be relevant to running other types of groups.
The goals of the course are for you to:
- be aware of the history and traditions of meditation,
- have an understanding of how meditation can be used for stress reduction, relaxation and personal development,
- be able to plan, organise and market meditation classes,
- be aware of wider considerations such as insurance, ethics, health and safety,
- be aware of a variety of secular or non-denominational meditative techniques,
- know a variety of subjects that can be used for focused meditation classes,
- be able to handle class dynamics and motivate students.
- (Please note – the course focuses on the practicalities of designing, organising and presenting classes. It assumes you already have some experience using meditation or similar techniques. If you don’t have this knowledge or experience, we suggest signing up for our Mindfulness in Therapy course first, you’ll find it on the cpd4therapists website, under home study.)
There is a one-day workshop plus reading and practical application tasks at home, so you get additional CPD hours without having to pay for the tutorial time. You will be asked to give a five-minute presentation during the workshop – we give you help and support in preparing it.

We run workshops only once a year, and we limit attendance to a maximum of six people so you have plenty of support and time to learn.

The Terence Watts BWRT Institute – BWRT training courses

Developed by Terence Watts in 2011 after 35,000 hours of experience working with clients, it is determinedly solution-focused and evidence-based, thus fulfils the requirements of modern therapies.
EICH Norfolk – APHP accredited Supervision Training
This supervision training is accredited by the APHP and is to a high standard. You are able to apply for the training if you are a member of the APHP* and have been working for a minimum of 5 years, and are at MAPHP(acc) level.
This 8-session webinar provides a thorough training in providing supervision in the hypnotherapy profession. The course is accredited by the APHP and on completion of a final assessment you will receive a Certificate in Hypnotherapy Supervision (issued by EICH Norfolk). Sessions must be attended live to qualify for APHP accreditation.
*Therapists from other associations can also apply for the training and gain a qualification, but may not apply to supervise for the APHP specifically unless they are existing members.
