Howden Professionals
Howden Professionals are a specialist division of Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd. They specialise in providing professional liability insurance and their team have spent many years dealing with Professional Associations and their members in the fields of psychology, psychological therapies, complementary therapies and human resources.
For members of APHP who practice hypnosis and psychotherapy and satisfy the following criteria, cover is available at the premiums shown in the table at the foot of this page:
- You are an Individual (or a sole trader Limited Company with a turnover of less than £100,000)
- You have not had previous insurance declined nor has an insurer refused to renew or terminated any liability insurance.
- There have been no liability claims made against you.
- You are not aware of any circumstances which may give rise to a claim against you.
- You are practising from a UK base
- You agree to accept the Insurer's standard form of policy and endorsements for this insurance
- You are appropriately qualified to practise each of the therapies listed (or on an approved training course leading to a recognised relevant qualification)

scheme for APHP members are as follows:
